What this statement covers
Everything on cejexperts.com. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as regulators and examination boards — we have no control over those.
How accessible this site is
Partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 level AA. “Partially” is doing real work in that sentence, and the next section says where.
We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit. Our assessment is based on our own testing, so treat it as an honest self-report rather than a certificate. A formal audit is planned but not yet booked.
What works
- Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is visible against both the light background and the navy sections.
- Headings are real headings, in order, so screen-reader users can jump through a page by structure. Long policy pages have a contents list at the top of the content.
- There is a skip link to the main content as the first thing you reach by keyboard.
- Text reflows down to 320px without a horizontal scrollbar, and the layout survives zooming to 200%.
- Body text meets the AA contrast ratio against its background, in both the light sections and the navy ones.
- Buttons and links have names that make sense read out of context — no bare “click here”, no “read more” on its own.
- Nothing moves, flashes or auto-plays on load. Video only starts when you ask it to.
- Forms have real labels attached to their fields, and errors are announced rather than only shown in red.
Where we fall short
These are the ones we know about. We would rather list them than let you find them.
- No captions or transcripts on video. Course video is still being produced. Captions are part of the production process going forward, but anything already published may not have them yet.
- Some page structure comes from a page builder. Parts of this site are assembled in Elementor, which sometimes produces nesting and markup we did not choose. We have overridden the worst of it; there will be some we have not found.
- Not tested with every screen reader. Our testing has been with keyboard navigation and browser tooling. We have not tested systematically across JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver, so there will be behaviour we do not know about.
- Documents. Any PDF or downloadable document published before this statement may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask and we will send you the content in an accessible format.
- Google reCAPTCHA on our forms. It is there to stop spam, and it can be an obstacle. If it blocks you, email us instead — the contact form is not the only way to reach us, and it never will be.
- The learner dashboard. Not open yet. It has not been assessed, and it will be before it launches.
If something is stopping you
Email info@cejexperts.com. It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse — but do not let not knowing that stop you writing.
We will reply within 5 working days. If you need something in another format — large print, plain text, an audio version, a document read differently — ask and we will provide it. There is no charge for that, and we will not ask you to justify it.
If a barrier here is keeping you from something time-sensitive, say so, and we will deal with it before we deal with the underlying fix.
If we do not sort it out
Tell us again, and ask for it to be escalated under our complaints process. If you are in the UK and you are not happy with how we have responded, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
What we are doing about it
- Captions and transcripts on all new video, treated as part of publishing rather than a later pass.
- An accessibility check on the learner dashboard before it opens, not after.
- Testing with at least one screen reader on the main journeys — home, Compass, a Learning Path, and the contact form.
- Retro-fitting accessible versions of existing documents as we find them.
We have not put dates against these, because a date we invent to fill a page is worth nothing. We will update this list as items are done.
How this statement is maintained
Reviewed at least once a year, and whenever a significant new feature goes live. The review date at the top of this page is real — if it has not moved in a while, the statement has not been checked in a while, and you are entitled to point that out.
